Up to $130,000 cash benefits for public transportation accidents
Your loved ones will receive $130,000 in cash benefits if you’re in a fatal accident while riding as a passenger on public transportation such as an airplane, public bus, etc.... If you travel for work or pleasure, this $130,000 benefit will help strengthen your family’s financial security.
 
  
 
Up to $30,000.00 cash benefits for all other covered accidents
$30,000 in cash benefits will be paid for all other covered accidents, such as a fall, private transportation, etc.
 
  
 

Up to $50,000 additional public transportation benefits.
When you redeem your benefits today, the NEA Members Insurance Trust will give you an additional $10,000 each year for five years—at no cost to you. That’s up to an additional $50,000 in benefits!

 
  
 
Additional cash benefits for seatbelt usage, air bags and accidental injuries
$10,000 Seatbelt Benefit: An additional $10,000 will be paid if your death occurs in a motor vehicle accident while wearing a seatbelt.

$10,000 Airbag Benefit: An extra $10,000 will be paid if you die in a motor vehicle accident while riding in a vehicle that has an airbag while wearing a seatbelt.

Cash Benefits for Accidental Injuries: This plan provides cash benefits if you lose your eyesight, hearing or the use of some or all of your limbs due to an accident (see your Certificate of Insurance for details).

 
  
 
To keep your rates economical, your coverage does not include provisions for losses that occur more than one year* after an accident. Losses not covered are those resulting from suicide, attempt at suicide, self-inflicted injuries, bodily or mental infirmity or disease or medical or surgical treatment thereof, bacterial or viral infection (unless it results from the accident or results from accidental ingestion of a contaminated substance), war, act of war, active duty in military (except a reservist called to duty or training for one month or less), riding or driving an automobile in a race or testing an automobile on a proving ground or similar area, or riding, boarding or leaving any aircraft or any land or water conveyance operated by a common carrier (does not apply to a school bus) except as a passenger without duties aboard. *90 days for those age 70 and over. 365 days at any age for quadriplegia, paraplegia, and hemiplegia. Time limits not applicable in PA.

This policy provides ACCIDENT insurance only. It does NOT provide basic hospital, basic medical or major medical as defined by the New York State Insurance Department.
